Vita
I turned my passion into my profession.
After graduating as an engineer-economist specialising in air transport, Lutz Schönfeld was able to do what he had always dreamed of: a career — and a calling — in aviation. He started at Interflug in 1981 and moved to the Berlin airports in 1991.
There he spent 18 years as press officer and event manager for Tegel, Tempelhof and Schönefeld — handling the media, including in crisis situations, as well as inaugural flights, openings and open days with 200,000 visitors each.
In 2009 he founded Aviation Services & Media. Since then he has combined aviation know-how, deep local knowledge and a network built over decades — for clients in aviation and tourism, and as an author for trade media such as Aero International, Flug Revue and FVW.
